Opening an email shouldn't tell the sender where you are or when you read it. Here's what FlareMail blocks, and how to tune it.

FlareMail protects you from the quiet surveillance baked into a lot of email. These controls live in **Settings → Privacy** and are on by default.

- **Block remote images** — stops emails loading external images until you choose to. A “Load images” banner appears instead.
- **Tracking pixel protection** — detects and blocks invisible 1×1 pixels senders use to see when you open a message.
- **Link tracking warnings** — flags links that use redirect-based tracking before you click them.

> **TIP:** Leave these on for maximum privacy. You can always load images for a single trusted message with the banner button.
