# FlareMail Shield

Privacy plus inbound mail evidence — authentication, links, and conservative spam routing, without claiming we stop all phishing.

**FlareMail Shield** is the name for FlareMail’s privacy engine plus inbound mail-risk evidence. It is built into the reader, not a separate security product.

## What you see

Open a message to see a compact status: **Protected**, **Caution**, or **High risk**. Expand it for authentication, sender, links, privacy, and AI-safety notes. The copy is evidence (“Reply-To uses a different domain than From.”), not a verdict that the message is phishing.

## Automatic spam

Account owners can turn on **Automatically move high-confidence spam** in **Settings → Privacy & Shield**. Only high-confidence mail is moved. Weak signals — capitalization, a single tracking link, UTM parameters, newsletters — never auto-spam on their own. Explicit filter rules still win.

## Show original and Analyze delivery

From the reader’s secondary menu you can show the stored MIME source, copy headers, download a `.eml`, or analyze delivery. Analysis reads Authentication-Results, SPF, DKIM, ARC, DMARC, and related headers from the stored message. If no trustworthy authentication result is present, FlareMail says so.
